IMPORTANT FACT: Hardwood flooring is a natural product which can expand and contract with the change in temperature. Humidity or dryness can cause your wood to become uneven or change shape. Please keep flooring at a normal temperature at all times and make sure it is not humid or too hot.

TIME FOR A FRESH COAT FOR SURFACE SCRATCHES If you just have surface scratches, don't spend a fortune on refinishing your hardwood floor! We may just be able to put a fresh coat of finish on it and lightly sand it for you. Ask us for a FREE ESTIMATE FOR A SCREEN AND COAT! The process is usually a few hours and extremely reasonable in price! If you have used WAX or ANY CLEANERS on the floor, then this process is not recommended!

Parquet flooring Parquet has been around since the Baroque era of 1625 to cover some of France's most illustrious royal homes. There is a trick to sanding and refinishing parquet that an expert floor guy will know. Parquet requires time and patience because of the different direction in the wood grain. Please realize that going forward with your project. When requested, we will full-trowel your floor to fill cracks as best we can as seen below.
We filled gaps in this flooring and turned old parquet into a new floor!

Laminate flooring We usually don't recommend laminate flooring because we have been working with solid hardwood for so many years. One of the reasons why is because it doesn't wear well as seen below. It starts peeling at the edges and will never look like a real wood floor. You may end up having to replace the entire floor down the road. It has a hollow sound and plastic appearance which makes it obvious to anyone that likes hardwood. The photos below give you an idea of what it may end up looking like.



Repairs Repairs to existing flooring are done to the best of our ability. We do consider ourselves experts in repair of hardwood flooring due to our experience spanning over 20 years. Pricing on repairs depends on how extensive the damage is. If you have much older hardwood, we will find hardwood from that year for your repair if needed. We can get hardwood from any historical year for our repairs!

You can only refinish engineered floors once or twice depending on thickness. Many customers do not realize that fact. After its sanded twice, it will most likely have to be replaced! We have seen this happen in million dollar homes around Orlando. Always purchase "solid" hardwood and realize that engineered is NOT solid.

Know your choices with hardwood flooring. It's important to understand the difference between laminate and a solid hardwood
floor before you buy.

Noise

Laminate flooring does not absorb sound well and can have a hollow sound
when you walk on it, particularly in high heels. Using an acoustic underlay
will help reduce the noise, but it still may be a nuisance. Laminate flooring also lacks the visual warmth of other materials, including hardwood.
